RISE WebService, provides functionality for generating code directly on a server. This includes generating the database model directly into a database server as well as generating and maintaining web services for accessing the database. All available in a single operation!   NOTE! The RISE Server is a web service and must be separately installed. Read more about installing the RISE Server. To access the RISE Server you must enter valid license into your RISE Editor (Help menu | Add Activation License).   Using the RISE Server leverages a collaborative development process. A system designer, or business expert, can maintain one or several systems being used or shared by any number of application developers with just a few clicks! Furthermore, RISE Server guarantees system consistency at all times by generating the database and application server at the same time.   To generate code directly into a server select the menu item "Generate Code to Server" in the Tools menu. This will display a "Connect to server" dialog. If the server has been visited before simply select it in the left-hand list, otherwise enter the server URL, and click the Connect button.     Once properly connected to the RISE Server the "Generate Code to Server" dialog is displayed. The dialog displays information on the current model at the top of the dialog. The user now selects one system maintained by the connected RISE Server. The user may also choose to create a new system for maintenance by this RISE Server. When a system is selected the RISE Server will retrive information about the status of the model within that particular system. In the below example the model "example3" isn't available in the selected system "Payment". Thus, if we choose to continue the "example3" database model would be installed from scratch.   Finally, the user must specify what code generators to use for the database and application server. These code generators are picked from the list of generators installed in the RISE Server.     The Status/information field will display the result of the update!     Related articles:   How to generate a database model.
