Overview
| Marshal is the ultimate solution for data migration and exporting. It brings simplicity and clarity to the troublesome task of extracting and intertwining data from many sources. It helps you to analyze your databases, import data definitions and to create the rules governing the export, storage and import of database information. |
Marshal Editor
| The Marshal Editor is a generic information modeling tool for ODBC databases. You manage your export and inport rules in the graphical editor using a straight forward user interface that automatically retrieves the relevant schema information from your database. |
Marshal Integrator
| The Marshal Integrator is a web service that enables you to lauch Marshal structures from your applications. You can retrieve complete export structures or single xml files. Marshal Integrator retrieves the Marshal structures from a Marshal Repository. Use Marshal Repository Publisher to enable Marshal Integrator to use a Repository on a remote server. |
Marshal Archiver
| The Marshal Archier is a Windows Service for scheduling of Marshal jobs and custom post processors, such as archive compressors, pdf-converters etc. Marshal Archiver retrieves the Marshal structures from a Marshal Repository. Create the export structure in Marshal Editor, store the structure in Marshal Repository and schedule the jobs in the Marshal Archiver. Use Marshal Repository Publisher to enable Marshal Archiver to use a Repository on a remote server. |
Marshal Repository
| The Marshal Repository is a repository of Marshal Structures and service licenses. The Marshal Archiver and the Marshal Integrator retrieve the licensed structures from the repository when executing. |
Repository Publisher
| The Marshal Repository Publisher is a web service that publishes the Marshal Repository. This enables Marshal Archiver and Marshal Integrator to access Marshal Repositories on remote servers. |
Marshal SQLUtility
| The Marshal SQLUtility is a simple to use generic utility for ODBC databases. It allows you to test ODBC connections, execute statements and discover tables and columns. |
Supported databases
| You can use Marshal with any ODBC compliant database. Only standardised methods for retrieval of schema information and for execution of statements are used. |
Import DB Schema
| Marshal Editor automatically retrieves schema information from your databases, making structuring of the information highly efficient. Tables, views, columns and datatypes are automatically discovered. |
File transfer (BLOBs)
| Marshal supports export and import of BLOBs. When you export a BLOB, you can choose if the BLOB should be stored on disk as a separate file or if it should be base64 encoded and embedded in the XML file. |
