Import database schema

The RISE Editor provides an import utility. It uses ODBC to connect to the database and, thus, you may use this utility with any database for which you've got an ODBC driver installed.

This utility is available in the Tools menu of the RISE Editor by clicking Tools | Import DDL/ODBC. Simply enter the connection string and press the Retrieve Database Schema button. All tables and views in the selected database will be displayed in the tree view. Check mark the tables and columns you wish to import and click the OK button.

The Add created entities to current drawing checkbox determines if imported entities are added to current drawing or not. If not, they are still added to your model and are available through the model, right-hand, project tree.
